At the virtual Farnborough International Airshow, their CEO once again confirmed his confidence in their Middle East expansion in Abu Dhabi and noted that it could reach around 5 billion people just around their new base. Even during the pandemic this airline has been showing off really with new routes and getting their airline back at stable capacity rather than grounding their fleet. Even with the challenges being faced at the moment they’re still pushing forward hoping to open their new base in October.
They hope to operate flights to six new destinations: Egypt, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Greece and Cyprus with their A321neos. Even though there aren't many destinations, they hope that the number of people around them and their business model will be a great strength for them. Since the region lacks a good quality low-cost carrier it is an easy void to fill since some people cannot afford to fly with the other airlines that are already in the area. Only time will tell if this is a good choice for the airline but they’re whizzing ahead of their competitors.
