JSR Update: June 2022
Hello all! I have the pleasure of informing you all about our new updates to the JSR Experience!
We have recently updated our radio server backend, and after getting over the teething problems this morning, now have a much better system to provide a first-class listener experience. With the new features, we have access to a protocol called HLS, or HTTP Live Streaming, allowing a user to stream at the best quality they can within their device based on bandwidth, or even via a selector. At the moment, we will test this internally, but we cannot confirm a public roll out just yet. Let us know if this is something you'd like!
Something else you may have noticed in the past couple of days is that when a DJ disconnects from the server, a new song now starts playing, and it doesn't cut back into the previous song from before they went on, so no more annoying switching when your favourite DJ is done!
Some minor tweaks have been made to the website to improve the listener experience on the front-end, but I think the most important thing to announce is... a JetStream Radio Discord Bot! That's right, you can now listen to JetStream Radio on your own server! To invite the bot to your server, and to find out more information, please visit: https://docs.invernyx.com/en/jsr/discord-bot
And if you want to be a part of the future of JetStream Radio, we encourage you to apply to work with our team as a DJ! You don't need any experience, and all training is provided by our very own team. All you need to do is source your own music - everything else is provided by us at no cost!
Thanks for supporting JSR through everything, and we look forward to continuing to deliver a great experience!
Cheers!
