CityFlyer, British Airways subsidiary, will not be returning their E170 fleet but will continue with just their E190s. The E170s have been parked since the start of the pandemic, but none will be retired from active service. Instead, they will be taking a long hop across the pond to join the fleet of a regional carrier in the US.
Envoy Air, which operates as American Eagle, will take on 6 of the exiting aircraft into their already large fleet of other Embraer aircraft. It is also the best-case scenario for Envoy since they already have a crew trained to operate the E170s due to the number already in their fleet. It is likely that 11 seats will be removed to fit with American Eagle cabins' current plan.
